Barasa Ongeti, FIDIC Certified Contracts Manager (FCCM)
Barasa brings more than a decade of experience in contract management, claims, and dispute resolution across diverse sectors including data centres, roads, ports, water treatment plants, and mixed-use developments.

  • Education & Accreditation: B.Sc. Civil & Structural Engineering, M.Sc. Construction Engineering Management (University of East London), FIDIC Certified Contracts Manager, Registered Professional Engineer (EBK), Member of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya.

  • Industry Recognition: Co-author of FIDIC Contracts in Africa and the Middle East (Routledge, 2024); member of FIDIC’s Task Group 17 developing the FIDIC collaborative contract (2025); frequent speaker at international industry forums.

  • Secured US$ 600,000 delay damages and recovery of a performance bond for an MEP contractor in Uganda.

  • Successfully defended contractor claims in Indonesia, achieving awards exceeding US$ 4.6M.
